J'adore Dior

Holy lord of nail polish - I died and went to polish heaven.

I was very kindly sent these by a good family friend Leigh from across the pond - so if you read this Leigh I absolutely LOVE them, thank you so much!

They are both with two coats of colour and Rituals top coat.

The first pictures are Spring 798 - A plum/grey purple colour. 

It's such a gorgeous polish, great for everyday wear. I love darker polishes so really liked the Winter vibe. 

The other one is Star 775 - A really deep pink (it looks a bit more red in the picture)

This one looks so great on slightly longer nails and looked so good with a black outfit!

You may know that I'm kinda obsessed with nail shine so am very obsessed with these polishes.

I can't think of a single downer on these. The quality is amazing, so easy to apply and such beautiful colours.... AND no clean up at all was needed - what a dream. 

I'm off to go stare at my current nails a bit more.

Born pretty store review 1

 Today, I tried the Born Pretty Store Nail art water transfers. (A direct link below) 

They were pretty straight forward to use, the instructions are clear and there are pictorials on the website. They also do videos on other products which is really helpful and good for inspiration.

At first I found it a challenge to cut around the patterns ready to transfer because there is so much detail on the designs. This fiddliness (new word?) is worth it for the detail that is on show once they are on the nail though. The background of the pattern is clear so even if the cutting isn't perfect, it won't show up on your nail, with any base colour used. The base colour I used was OPI - My boyfriend scales walls. 

The stickers dry quickly and stay on well with just one clear top coat, so far they have stayed on really good. I have found that often other stickers come off really quickly but that doesn't happen with these ones.

Spring time!

Haven't done a Cath Kidston inspired mani in a while and love doing them so here it is. The base coat is OPI - Stranger Tides. The other colours are acrylic paints. The base is such a nice grey green colour, I should have taken a picture of it before I started painting. I should point out that this mani was inspired by the amazing Cass Gooner's design. I think it's pretty. 

I will be doing a review in a few days.
