Mani swap with mynailsdid

Finally, here is last weekend's mani swap with @mynailsdid - check out her Instagram & blog she always has amazing mani's up regularly! Always some inspo on her page.

We changed up the colours of the designs to create 2 new mani's that look great! I love her version of my Christmas gold glitter mani. She's recreated a spring look which works so well. You can find details of the polishes she used on her blog.
I chose one of her halloween mani's and gave it an Autumnal look. I also really wanted to use Essie Bahama mama with my recreation, and I thought grey and gold would be an interesting pallet.
Simple straight lines are my fave so I instantly loved this mani and it's definitely one I will try again with different colours in the future - I'm thinking neons!

Looooads more posts coming soon - I cannot post them quick enough at the moment. The sun in just giving me more inspiration than I can handle haha.
Make sure you follow me on Instagram because I've been posting lots there recently... @nailstori
Thanks for reading!

Mani swap with Holly

I had the absolute pleasure of doing a mani swap with Holly.
My recreation was her pink and black with gold leaf mani using; OPI - natural base, Essie - Fiji, Essie - Mystery and Essie - Good to go. (My pics are the bottom two)
I loved the simplicity of this design but it's so unusual, I would never have thought up this design so it was a nice bit of inspiration!
Holly's instagram is: @holz_nailpage give it a browse and follow! Her nails are beyond gorgeous and she is doing a Ciaté swatchathon - which I didn't have the patience for!
She did such a great job of my negative space nails. I like hers way better than mine! They look so good on the shape of her nails too. I am so tempted to grow mine out into the almond shape, I can't deal with mine breaking all the time these days.
Happy Sunday people!

Mani swap time!

I've been rubbish with blogging the past week. I'm ashamed but have had tech difficulties and been coming home for christmas break so have been slightly preoccupied.
Today I am sharing a recent mani swap with @mynailpolish_addiction - check out Jessica's gorgeous instagram for daily posts!
Using: OPI - natural base, Sinful Colors - Teal the end, Sally Hansen - Gunmetal gray, Gold with no name and Essie - Good to go.
This is a technique I have tried once before, I love it so much because it's really simple to create.
I love that Jessica used two colours both the black and the gold I think it works so well, the gold adds a lush glitter to the nail.
I really love doing mani swaps, it's so fun seeing how the mani's turn out and getting to see peoples take on designs!
More Christmas mani's coming up and also Ciaté mini mani month swatches.

Mani swap!

I've been seeing so many other bloggers mani's that I wanted to recreate so myself and @coffeeandnailpolish decided to do a mani swap. She has so many mani's to choose from so it was really hard to decide which one to do!
The polishes I used were; OPI - Natural Base, Essie - Mint candy apple, Sinful colors - Snow me white, Body Collection - Gold, Rituals - Top coat, Striping tape from eBay and Gold leaf from Hobby craft (amazing value you fellow UK bloggers)
Shannon decided to recreate my feather mani which looked so amazing she did such a good job! So make sure you check out her instagram account.

This design was a lot more time consuming that I expected - it definitely didn't take up my whole day off haha. However, it was well worth it because I obviously love wasting time when it is nail time and also because it's such a pretty design.
The gold leaf flakes were soooo cheap I got a huge box of it for £6 - it will last an absolute life time. Whereas, in Sally's it costs £5 for a tiny pot so I was very chuffed with this find.
Anyway, the effect is the best thing I've ever seen, I am beyond in love with the it! I think I'll be using it in nearly every mani from now on!

I loved doing the mani swap with Shannon it was so much fun and really nice seeing her recreation as well as showing her mine!
And of course, had to do her classic coffee picture (I'm a starbucks girl but there is a drive thru costa on my way to uni so it's my new regular!)
I have more mani swaps lined up to do in the coming weeks, and my first proper christmas mani coming this week - the christmas nails can never come too early!
Have a great week nail peeps!
